Thread: good turbo?

thinking of picking this up but for some reason the exhaust side looks weird to me also trying to set get more info on it from the seller. All i can see it that a/r is 60.

The A/R on the inducer is a 60. The back half looks like a .8x A/R. What I don't get is why they drilled the V-band housing for a 4 bolt?

T3 flanged, maybe? Can't really tell as I can't see the size of the flange, other than the fact that it looks like it's the same size of the turbine housing. Could even be a T4? Looks pretty big, larger than what I remember my 30r flange size being...

How much is he wanting for it?

Its a big turbo. I would do it if the price were right. You could always buy a more conventional t31 exhaust housing. I'm guessing its a diesel truck turbo of some sort. Might want to figure out exactly and look mat the compressor map to see if will work for ya.

it is not vband ....it is another style of 4 bolt

Thanks for the clarification. Threw me off looking at the standard 4 bolt pattern, with what looks like a vband housing.

says it from a accord kit, he is asking 300$. also looks like little rust inside the exhuast housing, would that be a problem?
