Keep going through alternators!! #Sr20 ?? Brand new battery no known short circuits.. Have checked with multimeter for continuity to ground. I replace alternator turn on car it starts fine, than turn it off and turn it back on and it jumps to 17v and than down to 11-11.5v?

Have burnt through 4 alternator in 9 months

I went through a few alternators. Not as frequently as the op, but about 1 a year. Then bought a used genuine Nissan oem alternator and haven't had a problem at all.

I'm going to try getting a b15 one at junkyard today.

Anyone try the b15 alti on gtir motor?

Ok so I put in the the b15 alti (pain in the ass!) ripped my downpipe wrap 😑.. And the results are... Car is still running off the battery. I started the car and it stood around 11.9volts all connections are tight. Brand new braille gel battery

Hmm has to be some other problem. Wiring perhaps. Unless the used alternator was bad.
