Questions regarding future build...
Okay, I contacted Protech, and I'm going to go with their EL manifold, with down/mid pipes, and a recirculated W/G. They're giving me a great deal, so I feel obligated to go with their setup!

The setup:
Protech EL manifold, Stainless T3 Flanged
Protech Downpipe/Midpipe, Carbon Steel ceramic coated.
Tial 38mm W/G, recirculated dump.
(Pending response on Protech doing a piping kit)
SSQV BOV

Now, for my question to you all...
I told them that I'm going to use a GT30 series turbine on this setup. The specific turbine, though, I'm not sure on. It's obviously going to be the GT3071R, or the GT3076R. What I'm looking for, is spool time differences, if any, and efficiency ranges between the two. I know that the 3076 has a greater maximum output of 520hp, whereas the 3071 has a max of 475.

I'm not that good at reading the maps, so I still need to learn a bit more about them, but in the mean time, any advice would be appreciated.

Oh, and just for the record, no one's going to change my mind, regarding going smaller.

Want my honest opinion after doing research on the 30 series and talking to Javier at Full Race who I bought mine from? Go with the 3076 and don't look back...

When you get yours done, we'll have to race at the track... The Evolution Theory got a whole new law coming out

Cheers-

Thanks, Erich. I was leaning more towards the 3076R, but wasn't entirely sure whether I'd be happy with spool time/etc. I wouldn't imagine that there'd really be a difference, though.

This build is likely to have me pull the motor and go ahead with replacing the head studs and head gasket. This will give me time to re-tap the threads for the valve cover, and what not, too.

Not too shabby, Calum. Glad to see you're over here on the dash, as well. I don't have any pics yet, but plan on snapping a few in the near future. Need to take some pics of the Palace here where I am. 60ft Chandeliers (sp?) and what not. Marble from the floor to the ceilings, hand carved ceilings, gold everything. Amazing, the amount of money that went into building it. I don't think any state and federal government offices in the states come even close to comparison. Not even the White House would compare, and the Palace is smaller, almost.

Well, since you said your going to over power me, get the GT3076. I don't think the GT3071 is going to touch me. and who cares if you spool 500rpm faster spool with either set-up :P

Keo, I could overpower you with a T28!

It's not just the skill of the driver, but also the fact that you haven't even installed that SC yet! (And if you have, BAN! for not showing pics!)

You will love the 3076R, I was going to use that but got a diff turbo instead.
