Thread: Borg Warner Turbos

Buddy of mine brought an HX40 from work as the mechanic from the yard had just taken it off of a concrete mixer truck and was out to toss it to the garbage he brought it just for shxt & giggles compared them to a good ol t25 and from the looks of the failure this was from the comp wheel , maybe they have a weak spot to fix? , in no way i will compare this turbo to a sr20 setup but just some extra imput thats all

I wonder if the bearing wore out and the wheel dug into the comp housing stopping it abruptly. That just seems weird for a shaft to snap like that.

My bw turbocharger have been problem free so far. Bought it brand new.
