Thanks for the info ATM! Also I just got the VET 8H6 rods out and measured out 19mm bearings. Next to it in the pic is a DE 17mm bearing rod. Just in case anyone wanted to know there is an alternative to GTIR rods...

my ve did not come with he 5 hole mains either. the oil galley was there for a five hole main but the stock bearings were standard. I did upgrade to the 5 hole mains when I built the motor.

So you used the GTIR bearings in the VE block. What crankshaft did you use? Just trying to make sure about all of this before I order parts...

I used the gtir mains with a de 8 cw crank. all sr20det/de/ve motors use the same size crank bearing(19mm). The only difference in the gtir and the standard det bearing is the 5 holes on the upper.

I've been telling guys for a while about the SR20VET rods, they are beefer than GTI-R rods.

More info on VET pistons. The VET piston on right has oil holes for the squirters and also has skirt coating.

Anyone have a VE or VET FSM or specs on engine internals. I found JWT's .pdf on DET engine service data specs...

Actually GTiR SR20DET rods (PN: 1210054C01) were replaced by Xtrail GT SR20VET rods (PN: 121008H600).
