SR20VE turbo engine build
Well after a bad deal on my DET engine +VE head build didn't fall through I'm deciding to build the following.

SR20VE complete stock engine

List of stuff I'm planning on:

SR20VET 8CW crank,rods,pistons 9:1 CR - Already have parts
SR20DE Main Girdle - Already have parts
ARP head studs - Already have parts
SR20VE head gasket - Already have parts
New crank and rod bearings - Need to order

I'm going to reuse my 6 speed trans with twin disc, tubular manifold and GTX2867R on this engine also running a AEM EMS4 standalone.

If anyone has questions or ideas please chime in. This is going to be the first time I have attempted building a SR20 engine.

Nice! It's not hard to tear down and rebuild an engine. Just take your time and don't cut corners. From your other builds it definitely seems like you know what you're doing. Go for it!

What about bearing for the VET crank mains and rods? I'm thinking ACL race GTIR bearings #'s

GTi-R connecting rod bearings are larger (19mm vs 17mm) and the main bearings offer more oiling holes for the crank.

I'm pretty sure VET rods use 19mm bearings. Going to measure the rods out tonight if I get time.

The main bearings sizing is the same just single hole or 5 hole. I think your thinking rod bearing, GTi-R is 19mm std SR20 is 17mm.
