Piston to Valve clearance SR20VET
Finally getting my engine built, I am wondering if i will have any Piston to valve contact.

I am using:

SR20VET 9.0:1 Pistons (with valve reliefs)
1.1mm Thickness Headgasket
Supertech oversized valves.
SR20VE P12 20V Cams.

Block has been decked, and Head will have a light machine to make sure its flat.

Someone told me due that its possible that I will still have Piston to valve contact with VVL.

Does anyone have any input with this?

If the pistons have valve reliefs in them, then no you will not have clearance problems. I know CP's were made with +1 intake +2 exhaust with a few more to play with.

If your not sure, clay the motor, rotate it, pull the head back off and check but im sure if they were made specifically for the VE-T, then you are fine.
