i feel if you are lookg for more power, or the ability to make more power, its definitly going to come from more tuning or a source that will give you the ability for more tuning *cough* standalone *cough*...im not saying you need his NOW, but you might like something with your car that has the ability to tune boost maps, transmission gear to boost ratio, tune in nitous, traction control,2 step, anti lag...just alot of advances that the cu you are curretly are working with is limited to....i think it would really broaden your options with your setup even at this point.

Agreed on this statement.....you are so limited to mail order tunes, especially JWT tunes because they are to conservative with fuel timing ect, or maybe they were not conservative enough....
YOU NEED A BETTER TUNING SYSTEM!!!!!!
Back to small letters.......
With a system like JWT, unless you are in close proximity to them and they can tune your car. You will not get the full potential out of your set-up.....
You have put together a set-up that is beyond a JWT chip and is deserving of something more. It does not have to be an AEM EMS, although that should be your first option, just get something more tunable.

I have been thinking about this. This project's goals were to build a VET that would last, get good mileage, and drive every day, legally. So far it does everything that I wanted with the exception of the AC being removed. I would go EMS if it would pass emissions. I want to drive the car daily.

But the EMS won't pass an obd2 inspection.

But on another note i did finally crush the 1G DSM blow off valve. I took it off and it wouldn't hold 16psi. It opened right at 16psi, just slightly. I have known that this was a problem all the 1G DSM guys have so I decided to do the ghetto mod and crush the top to hold more boost. I crushed it so it would start to open at 21psi. I plan to do 24psi on the dyno, but this might just hold up.

After crushing it I felt an instant throttle response improvement. The turbo will surge slightly when loading it at low rpm and pressing in the clutch, but the VVL hit so hard now! I couldn't believe the difference! The VVL hits at 6k and you feel it for sure! the boost hits so much harder too. 19psi feels great!

Crazy how much a small boost leak can affect the way it runs huh? Any #'s yet?

I will keep everyone posted on the dyno figures on my dyno thread. 24psi and 100 octane. Hmmmm what did she do? You'll have to wait like all the others! mwah hah ha!

Why do you insist on egging people on? Just pipe down already. Go build some manifolds and sell them like you initially promised.
