I recently tuned a SR20VE-T It gave 391 WHP at 18psi of boost the timing was at 24 deg total advance and the AFR were in the 10.8-10.9 range I know that AFR were on the rich side but we wanted to tune at 26 psi but the Z32 MAF maxed out way before the 491 whp we pulled..
But I think you can add some timing to the mix and get the AFR to the 11.5 range and that should get you were you want...

I took her out last night with the cams hooked up. It pulls like crazy, it just wants to keep going. The rev cut doesn't catch until 7700rpm but the car wants to keep pulling past that.

I will be playing with the afr in the next couple days to try to lean it out a lil. The problem I have is when I lean it out the idle gets rough because it gets too lean. By rev cut I have 19 degrees total advance iirc.

That is just crazy! was this on race gas? I really wanna hit about 400 on 18 as that was my original goal. But if I can hit 375 or so on the 16 I am doing now that would be sweet.

There is 91. Best we got. It is 4500 ft elevation so there is a lot less oxygen up here.

You guys with the VE-T's should be at or over 400 whp at 15-17 psi with the right tuning.

IIRC we made like 407 whp with Manny's old VE-T set up at 15 psi. This was on pump.

Not with stock ECU Mannys VET was standalone a lot more tuneability and also his motor was 87MM like 9.5:1 CR and had N1 Intake Manifold and a bigger turbo too...

I know there is a lot to take into consideration. Lance's VE-T was also over 400 whp at 15-16 psi and it was a square motor but, he did also have a standalone.

A good tune plays a huge roll in it all. You can have the best set up in the world but, if the tune is garbage the parts mean nothing.

BTW Payu I am going to drop you a PM.

Coheed,

From all of your experiences so far, should I go with a Calum real-time or JWT? I can't tune worth a schiat, and don't really know any good tuners around me. I'm going for cost-effective and reliability. So, if I can't find a tuner for a decent price, the JWT is just way more simple.
