Thread: 3" turbo back vs 3" hood exit hp gains

Im debating on cutting my hood and sending a 3" hood exit out of it. Has anyone ever done comparison tests to see what the gains are, if any. And as far as noise is concerned is a hood exit something that you can live with or does it get old on long drives. I really don't want to have to use a megaphone to have a conversation with my passenger

ive got a 3'' downpipe to 3'' side exit and imo its loud, personally if i had to do it over again i would do a full 3'' exhaust with muffler and resonator. just my opinion.

i would even go as far as saying it might attract you attention you dont want. i never have gotten any tickets for exhaust, but its possible

^^^^ this right here. Even with a full exhaust and muffler I get unwanted attention from the police. When they follow I drive 5mph under the speed limit until they get tired and leave me alone.
