for the power it made i think its pretty on par, given the t2 housing, log manifold combo...numbers seem pretty typical for the gt2871r for a turbo that spools low in the rpm range it still wasnt really dropping off in the upper rpm's like you would think.

there are things to work on, im not so sure yet.

The T2 housing isn't really as much of a restriction as you think. People make 400whp all day on sr20's with that turbo at 20 psi. Even my t2 did 350whp on an avenir manifold with external gate. When you get a chance swap the manifold out and you most likely make even more power

Depends on if that's a 56 trim 2871r and which cams.

Also making a proper intake for that turbo will help. having the filter that close to the radiator will cause your iat's to be higher than normal.

I feel ya on the frustration and disappointment after a shotty tune man! I almost hung it up too after a few mechanical needs and a bogus tune. But much like you, come hell or high water I said F-THAT! I Jumped back in the saddle and got some mechanical issues solved and now await my May 31 appt with Jamie Marsh down in CT :-)

Cheers for not giving up man!!! :-)
