Headgasket/Studs
Wanted to know what headgasket/headstuds you guys are running on your vet builds. Was planning on running a metal vet headgasket along with mazworks arp2000 studs. Any input would be appreciated.

The VET gasket is a great option. I for one am using a Cometic gasket with a set of AEBS head studs.

Another great option is a Cosworth gasket.

vet head gasket with ge head studs. Mazworx would be my next choice for head studs. Also arp has redesigned their head studs so they bottom out in the block.

They are about the same price as what mazworxs wants. I am sure gregv or trackforged could give us a better deal.

Running all OEM over here, VE gasket from Greg and OEM studs from my local dealer, no boost (yet) but upgrading the clutch now for the possibility of it later this year, i think the setup should hold up but will see. almost went with the APR studs but they were like 2x the cost and I read mixed reviews on them

I wish I had started in late December. It's kinda because of the weather- here in SE PA the last two winters were quite warm with almost no snow. This winter of course snowstorm after snowstorm and roads full of salt. The car has been in the garage not moved more than 4 times since December, I would have had been plenty of time to do it, collecting parts and fabricating stuff, but now it's going on the 2nd week in March and the car would be down awhile into the spring. if it was like last year I could have taken it out every Sunday or something like I would unless it was wet or really cold

I am running Mazworx head studs and cosworth head gasket.

I read that the ARP head studs don't go all the way into the block

that's *exactly* the kind of things I was reading when deciding on OEM vs those but didn't read anything bad about OEM, which of course were going to at the very least, fit
