Something must have been wrong with your car, I tried SR16VE cams then N1 cams and the N1's shit all over the SR16 on the bottom, in the middle and up top.
16ve always make more from around 4k to 6k, after that the n1's take over. The overall power band for a naturally aspirated car is better with the n1's and on a NA it's not soo noticeable, but the midrange hit is amplified with a turbo.
The 20v cams are by far the smoothest, but for the 3071r with high comp and high boost I would prefer the 16ve cams and switch them earlier to avoid detonation. With the OP's set up you are not going to want to rev to 5500 on the low lobes.
