You can buy a mitsubishi or subaru odd flanged turbo and slap a T2 or T3 turbine housing from kinugawa...

With a td05h-16G-6cm2 i made 303bhp from a stock 10:1 sr20de@0.5/0.6bar...

Yeah exactly! I reckon they're trustworthy enough though. Made in japan and come with a year warranty, just like any good turbo.

Wow that's crazy power for low boost and such a small turbo! Very nice

Not that small, 16g is rated at 505 CFM, gti-r t28 at 465 CFM, the t518z at 526 CFM.

The td05 16g is actually bigger then a T28, not that big for todays standards, but big in OEM terms...

Oh wow that is pretty decent!
So this: Kinugawa Turbocharger 3" Anti Surge TD06SL2 18G W T25 10cm V Band External Gate | eBay which I'm planning on getting is actually fairly big? I'm hoping it's similar to a 2871 yes?

Do you know what's up with the 6 ports on the chra though?? Do Greddy turbos have that?

I thing it´s actually bigger then a 71, at least CFM wise, power rating is about the same(400bhp)... i think this is less restrictive due to the big 10cm2 big turbine housing but maybe less responsive, don´t know... how it will match with your engine/mods god knows, but it´s a farily big turbo yes...

You will be using 4 ports, 1 oil inlet, 1 outlet, and 1 water inlet and 1 outlet... the other 2 are plugged, at least that´s the way my td05h is and every MHI i´ve seen...

Sweet as. Yeah well with the rough calculator thingy, 10cm2 rear housing equates to roughly 0.73a/r. So I'd say response should be on par or even slightly better than a 0.86 2871.
Big turbo is good turbo haha. Apparently guys in Australia have been making 300kw at the wheels on 19psi with these turbos! Which is heaps!

Okay cool beans. Weird that they tap 6 ports...
