Also when I say Jpipe i wasnt asking what motor it was from. Just curious if it was an OEM one. If its oem your probably loosing 15whp right there because of flow. But your not gonna be able to run a proper one that flows right without removing the AC. This turbo likes an intake manifold and an exhaust manifold that flow.

Greddy 18G on Fully built B16! - Honda-Tech
Not sure if this dude bored out his b16 or not after. But he made 350whp on it with the stock 1.6 and wasnt close to 20psi. Then he went on to make 430whp at like 17psi with some more upgrades. I had been watching him since the begining basically lol. Check his threads there. I made 350whp 325tq at 20psi with a bunch of issues on a 9.0:1 Det with S4's. The turbo should definately be able to hit 430-450whp with e85 on a stock VE. Its funny...if you look around at some more of Gio's post you would seriously be shoked at what E85, external gate, and just the stock T25 can do. I had alot of fun with that t25 setup! Im gonna see what itll do with a VE and E85.

Everybody who ask about this turbo online always gets responses like "that turbo sucks its only good to 300whp". The smart ones dont even post numbers cause they know what it is. I think your probably the first to play with E85 and this turbo. Most people just upgrade. But if they felt the power band of this turbo on a 2.0 and actually knew what it could do alot of people would stay t2 and keep it simple.

I've been working with crznx2000 on this project. We are both confident that with the setup we have, we will easily make 400hp at high boost. At the end of the dyno day, I asked Matt what he thought, he believes it is capable of 400 as well. An intake manifold is in the plans, if I can find one in my price range. But, my son is going to be born in may and I will have to save up for a while to the manifold.

375 on 12psi :0 was this on e85? List your whole setup please. A dyno sheet would be great! That's almost unbelievable!

Don't want to jack his thread, but yes I have dyno chart pics and videos in my build thread. It's got more in it as well. Had rev limit at a very conservative 7500 which the turbo was ready to pull way past. 93 octane runs on a mustang dyno as well. I think the dyno charts are a few pages from the end of the thread. Made 415 on 18psi with no fueling/timing changes because we were running out of time. We went from 325 on the first pull to 375 with timing/fueling at 12 psi.

1000cc at 90% duty cycle? my 370s at 4 bar (equivalent to 425cc at 3 bar) were are 89% when I made the numbers in my sig, it just seems weird. Nice numbers and curve!

I agree. That is why I am upgrading from a walbro to an AEM e85 pump.

750's at 3 bar were damn near maxed out at 14psi on a t25 with e85 on an external wastegate. So it doesnt really surprise me. I dont think its the fuel pump. I think its just the fuel pressure. If you have injectors that can run past 3 bar just up the fuel pressure untill they run static (I think thats the word been out the game for a while). Then just back it down slightly for the max boost you wanna run. Thats one of the reasons I stuck with 750's. Icouldnt find an 18g. So I just took Gio's approach and did a T25. Which btw is NOTHING to look down on. That t25 on e85 MOVED! I remember when me and ashton were running them trying to boost the shit out of them on regular gas! Either way...e85 is the business. If I get this car tom. Ill be figuring out a way to snatch up a VE and boosting it. Im not gonna build it or anything. I wanna see what e85 will do with an 18g and the stock motor first on an avenir manifold. Keep it simple

Nsusa- I dont doubt your numbers from doing research on your builds lol. But you sure this was an 18g lol? Havent had time to look yet at that link. But I will when I get back.

Lmao, no it wasn't an 18g. never said it was.

Think you got it backwards. He was asking why a 44mm because the more boost you run the smaller you want the wastegate to be since you need more exhaust to make more boost. 44mm is for a boosted V8 or a bigger motor or low boost on a small 4 cyl. The turbo is def capable of MORE then 400whp as weve already seen. On e85 it should be able to do it with just the stock stuff I think and an external gate

After a little more research, it looks like you are exactly right. My mistake. But this isnt a race car though. And would be on lower boost settings a majority of the time. To this point, would it really matter?

I had the injectors flowntested before I installedbthem. They came back at about 94 pound hr if I remember correctly. Not sure how theyrr close to maxed out low boost....that's an odd one. Especially as 12 psi is hardly in that turboseffecient power band. Itflows significantly more at high boost.

I think we maxed out the fuel pump. First step is an high flow e85 pump.
