Moisture in IC piping Y?
I just swapped a gtir swap in my b13 and put a fmic set up but i noticed from a bad connection that water dripped out of the pipe on the cold side. Then it started to affect the maf sensor since it was getting wet and run like crap. Does anyone know why moisture is building up in my Ic piping?
Thanks in advance, any help is better than none.

@Agent Nupe. I dont believe so, i hve the vaccum line off of the wastegate going 2 vaccum, oil lines and antifreeze line connected 2 the stock location on the block. But there is another line that i was told 2 conmect a antifreeze lines. I just took off the intercooler & poured about alittle tea cup of water out of it.. i dont knowats causing it.

My next best guess would be condinsation, but i dont think it could produce that much water.no idea

@Agent Nupe. The car doesnt even want 2 run w/ the maf connected, only if i disconnect it. My supervisor was saying that & i was reading that if the intercooler is cooling that hot air 2 fast it will build up comsedation. Can i hve mounted the intercooler upside dwn or that i hve no heat shields on the manifold or ic pipes. I waited along time 4 this car 2 run w/ a swap n cant move forward until i fix this problem b4 i destory this motor

If the maf got wet it is most likely shot. If the car has been running and is warmed up there should be not moisture in the intake at all, condensation or not. Is it the moisture coolant or oil? Dip your finger in it and smell it/smear it on some paper to see what color it is if you can't tell by smell.

Ive caught condensation in my large catch-can from the VC's 5/8" line.
Probably only a couple ounces.

But as long as there is moisture in the air... if your oil gets exposed to it, it will absorb it. (Driving heats it up to evaporate out) Remember, moisture is why your brake fluid turns dark and goes bad.

I highly doubt all that water is condinsation with a standard fmic, also there is no right or wrong way to mount an air to air intercooler it is merley a radiator that air passes through to cool down. your maf is toast. if your useing an apexi you could hot wire another maf to work in its place. I would suggest you square away the maf issue first so you can put some miles on it and go from there.
