Thread: New To The Boost Life!

Hello what's up guys. As you read the title I'm new to having a turbo set-up so I'm a NOOBIE lol. Any who I picked up a Top mount T25 from a good friend and these are the current parts I have..... I'm messing the following like boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, AEM Wideband, etc whatever else you don't see lol. I'm going to run this set-up on my stock JDM Highport DE. I need some feedback before I slap this on like what ecu to run. I should be doing this sometime in Mid-November.

hmm do it in stages and test the components to make sure they work just fine first before you go fully turbo. Like get your gauges hooked up and reading correct first, then get an ecu option nailed down. Last step should be actually bolting up the turbo and piping. That intercooler looks like its seen much better days, I'd get a new one at least.

Yeah that intercooler doesn't look like it is still in good shape. You can see one of the main air channels is all banged up.

If this is your first turbo setup, I would def go with a Jim wolf ecu. Call them and get it setup for exactly what your running and you shouldn't have any issues. my first turbo setup was very similar and was able to run 13.3 with it at 10psi. Good luck.

If you can swing it replace the top mount intercooler with a FMIC setup. I would run a Nismotronic SA ECU in the car they are fully tunable and come with a base tune setup for what your running.
