hahahaha, and thats the truth. lol
Most of the big honda guys now are running at the very least 11.5:1 or more compression on their 1000+whp builds. It helps spool those big 72mm turbo's up bigtime. Thing is to have a good flowing exhaust side. The only thing that will probably hurt my numbers at all if you want to call it that, is the shitty manifold with small runners. From what I can feel soo far with the setup compared to the low comp one is that below 3k this thing acts like there is no turbo on it. It just wants to go like an na and the rpms climb faster than the turbo can make boost. This could also be because of the stock VE cams and their shitty low lift and duration on the low lobes. Ive already moved the vvl down to 3200 rpm with greater than 60% throttle and im seeing 3psi by 3.2k when vvl hits vs 0-1psi when on the low lobes. Turbos on high compression love lift and duration on the cams.
Keep in mind i have not really gotten into boost other than 2-3 psi at 3k rpms just to put some load on it. Havent taken it higher or into more boost as Im still in break-in period
We will see how it does once it goes on the dyno. If the manifold holds me back too much ill be switching it out for the thicker wall big tube manifold. We should know right away how it performs based off the power numbers and spool time. Hopefully in the next two weeks it will be on the dyno.
