Thread: Turbo Oil Restrictor/Fitting Question??

ok i have a question that has probably been asked before but i currently have a dead GTi-R T28 turbo and looking to buy a Garrett T28rs BB Turbo, now my question is can i use the same OEM oil fitting from my dead turbo and use it on the BB one, or do they have different internal sizes????

Do you have a sliding caliper? You can measure the port on the fitting.

garrett bb turbos use a .035 restrictor.

ok my current oil fitting is 4mm , i have a friend with the big daddy of the T28 turbos thats also BB and he has his restrictor at like 1mm...

I have used the same restrictor on my gt28r, gt28rs and the gt3071r that is currently on the car.

idk i am just afraid to mess up oil seals
