Low gear boost issue.
So I'm having a problem with my de+t g20. In first and second gear my boost seems to fall from 9-10psi to about 6-7psi, and I can't figure out why. In third and up it holds about 10psi all the way. I've checked all my piping and double clamped all my couplers I thought may have any issues and found and fixed a small vacuum leak and still did not change. I am at a loss now I've tried looking all over the net and a lot of people say its normal, but I had a Sr 240 before and it held boost in all gears.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Low gear boost issue.
Bump. My main question is if this is common with these cars.

Where are you getting your wg source?

Re: Low gear boost issue.
Right now its from the bigger nipple on the manifold where the canister used to hook up. It was on a tb port and there was no difference.

Here's a video if it helps at all.

My car does the same. I believe it has to do with engine load. There isn't much load on the engine in 1st or 2nd, but a bigger load in 3rd-5th which helps the turbo build boost.

You tested bov? Might be leaking.any broken hose clamps? How much boost are you running?I've had a similar problem and it was leaks.whar is your vacuum on idle?

Can you post a pic of the engine bay? Pressure test the system to check for leaks.

Re: Low gear boost issue.
No bov right now, I haven't tested it cause I don't have a compressor. All couplers are good too. I figured if it was leaks it would do it in all gears, and I am trying to run 10 psi. Vacuum at idle is where it should be as well.
