SR20VE+T E85/93 Comparison (Log manifold/GT3076R/NismoTronicSA)
Here is a nice comparison of the advantages of running E85 on a setup that desperately needed it.

Stock SR20VE (completely un-opened)
Tubular LOG manfiold (RESTRICTION)
GT3076R w/3" DP and Exhaust
ID1000cc Injectors
Walbro 255

Nothing was touched other than converting from pump 93 octane to pump E85 from a station across the street from the shop. I then setup an alternate map to be used for E85 and set the alternate injector size to 650 (current was 900) and imported the primary fuel and timing tables from the pump gas map into the alternate E85 map.

As you can see, boost pressure increased about 1.5 psi and AFR was right on par. This was literally before any ignition timing adjustments were made or the car was leaned out on E85.

This example just goes to show you what some extra cooling from the E85 and the higher octane of the E85 will allow you to net on a restrictive high compression engine!

Now I have 2 questions : if running e85 as a primary fuel and u r in desperate need of gas and use 93 what will happen. Also if using the Nemu could u alternate between 2 maps as far as e85 and 93 or will it not be possible

@liljay781

The NEMU has the ability to run several maps at the flip of a switch

So, in your scenario: If you run out of E85 and need 93 (or vica versa), flip a switch (which depending on your input can be the A/C switch) and you are on an alternate 93 pump map

Very simple and the Nismotronic website has all the information

Yup it's super easy to switch from maps. When setting up MAP I made AC switch kick me back on the MAF so that I can struggle home if my tune was not working right . Now if your like myself you like having AC actually enable AC, thus you can use the PS switch (the useless power steering switch on the high pressure line).

You can also use that to do high boost (if you have boost by gear setup).

Yep, that is correct.

Like mentioned above, you can setup 2 different maps.

For example, on this car I have it setup so that when the a/c switch input is grounded it will run the alternate fuel and timing maps for E85. We wired a switch up so he can toggle between his primary map (93) and his alternate map (E85) by simply flicking a switch and changing to the fuel that you want to run.

You can also vary boost levels and turn on other features using this switch; for example if you want to run a higher boost pressure when you run E85 you could also use that switch to increase your boost pressure using the PWM ECU based boost control AND switch maps all with the same switch!

It looks like they are running a 255lph walbro, so no need for two pumps.

A single Walbro 255 with ID1000 injectors will net you around 400whp on E85 .. if you plan on going any higher than that you would need to do a bigger fuel pump, upgraded lines and a FPR to bump the fuel pressure up a bit.

We have gone as high as 6-620whp on a single Walbro 400 pump and ID1000s with a higher base pressure on E85.

Close to 400whp you will run into big fueling issues on a single walbro on E85.

This car is closer to 340-350whp comparing it to a roller dyno.

Walbros are not E85 safe (except the 400). You also have to change your std fuel filter every 10 hours of run time or so.
