RWD DET have oil squirters???
i really just need to know if the pistons are the same.
FWD DET piston = RWD DET piston???
Do both engines(all DET's) have oil squirters

i would assume if both have oil squirters the rwd can be made to work in a fwd. please somebody who has worked on both chime in. i only have minimal exp on fwd det, and i gotta get this G outta the garage!

Man that's a project I'd hate to undertake. I assume you're saying that you have an RWD DET that you'd like to put in a FWD G, right? You'll need to be aware of about a bajillion other differences that are going to make that an extremely unpleasant swap. Dist location, mounts, yuck. I'd sell that and buy an FWD one, imho. IDK about the squirters but the pistons are the same.

i have a bluebird fwd det that i needs bearings 1 piston and 1 rod. but while its torn down i might as well spend a few bucks to do it right and get all the internals, so this thing can be a beast. it seems the rwd internals are much easier to find so i wanna know if i can just get some 240sx rwd det pistons, or will that cause some other problem.

if you say the pistons are the same then the rwd has gotta have squirters

From my understanding, and someone correct me if I am wrong, all the DET pistions were made to work with squirter but not all DETs came with them. IE: the pistions are the same, but what was on the block was diffrent. But I could be wrong. I do know that not all DET rods are the same. Or atleast the R's are diffrent.
