New engine swap and plans...
Hey guys and gals, just thought I'd post up here and start a swap log of sorts here. The good ol' 9.5:1 DE finally became nearly undriveable, with under 100 compression on cylinders #1 and #4. This is after over 4 years of boost at no less than 10psi and almost 2 yrs at 14-16psi. It's held out great, but there's over 210K on the clock and things are old. So, out she came (pics to follow) and I'm getting ready for a new setup. The old setup was a GTi-R Mani and T28 w/370's at 4 bar, z32 maf and an SAFC. The new plans are:

I already had the z32, a walbro 255 pump, z32 fuel filter, AD22 brakes, genII's, Zeitronix, etc. etc. I made 280ish whp with that setup. I'm hoping for 325-350 whp on this setup without pushing any limits or getting crazy and popping the motor right out of the gate!
While the motor is out I'm cleaning the filthy engine bay, swapping out the master cylinder, redoing some of my IC piping, cleaning up wiring, etc. I've eliminated the AC and PS, and I'm cleaning up the harness after having the SAFC cut into it.
The old engine is already out, and I'm going to be selling off some of my old stuff, like the 370's, T28, old o2 and dp eventually, new water pump, and any engine parts anyone wants. This is a 91, so I guess the cam might be of interest. The motor was running fine, I suspect the only real problem was the rings, with how bad the compression got. It looks fine under the valve cover. Anyway, I'll be putting up some pics, should have the motor within the next week or two. Comments or suggestions welcome, but not necessarily heeded!
