BKR7E Best Gap ( 8.5.1 Avenir T25 10lbs ) B13
Hey guys,

I have searched and just wanted to double check that .028 is the optimal setting for these plugs..
A buddy told me .020 but everything I read on here says .028.

B13 w/Avenir DET T25 10lbs

Im going drag racing for the first time on the build to get a baseline and figured its time to replace the plugs ( have had forever just forgot ).

The plugs I just checked in the motor are NGK PFR6B9 and have worked flawlessly, the pic below shows the gap they are reading :

New Plugs ( factory gap ) not gapped yet :

Thanks guys, Just dont wanna gap wrong and waste the drag strip trip..

Like I said its on new cap / rotor / wires / just never did plugs.. Runs perfect but its the last piece of the ignition thats old.

Time to see what this T25 10lbs DET will do, pulls solid to redline, no backfires, no misses nothing ever on
a street tune 11.0 AFR's on full boost ( erroring on safety ).

Cant wait for S4 or S3's + Injectors to raise the boost to 14lbs ( in the future ).

Irun .035 without issue with t28 at 18lbs but i would suggest running .030 if you havent made sure your factory ignition isnt in tip top shape

Do it as large as you can get away with without breaking up under boost

Factory ignition is perfect, New OEM ( Cap / Rotor / Wires ) This is a mint JDM picked up from Andreas with everything replaced with OEM Nissan
from Greg V the plugs are just the last piece of the puzzle. As I said with the factory plugs the car pulls perfect with no issues. The plugs were just
the last thing for me to replace which I am doing in the AM.

I posted of pic of where they are currently gapped ( .31 with the PFR6B9 plugs ) and what I have read is .28 is optimal for the BKR7E's.
Motor is 100% healthy no codes no issues every maintenance item possible replaced when swap was done.

If the car runs perfect with the .31 with the older OEM plugs just looking for what it should be with the new plugs.. I can fine tune
later but dont want to trial and error on a track day I may be lucky if I get 3 runs. Just looking for what works best with these plugs
on a healthy motor on this basic config.

Agreed - don't know what your elevation is as that can play a role as well. I travel from 4,000+ ft to sea level on a regular basis so I'm pretty much screwed.

Yeah start at stock and only adjust to a smaller gap if you have misfiring/ breaking up under boost. You want as large of a gap as you can get away with so you have a larger spark which will ignite the mixture quicker and better the more spark there is.
