If the tensioning of the head has been done using the 'mazworx' specifications, then this head has only ever been torqued to 60 ft/lbs, which is clearly NOT what is required.
An important piece of information is on the 'mazworx' specification sheet, which is: "Torque in factory sequence the following torque ratios". To me that means USE the factory sequence for torquing down the head, but substituting in the numbers that 'mazworx' provides, that is"
1st sequence = 45 ft/lbs
2nd sequence = 65 ft/lbs
Now, following the factory sequence the torquing is:
Factory 1st sequence = 29 ft/lbs
Mazworx 1st sequence = 45 ft/lbs
Factory 2nd sequence = 58 ft/lbs
Mazworx 2nd sequence = 65 ft/lbs
Factory 3rd sequence = 0 ft/lbs (all released)
Factory 4th sequence = 23-33 ft/lbs
Mazworx (use 1st sequence) = 45 ft/lbs
Factory 5th sequence = 90 +10 -0 degrees
Factory 6th sequence = 90 +10 -0 degrees
You have now followed the mazworx instructions ""Torque in factory sequence the following torque ratios" using their specified torque sequence ratios. The factory sequence is taken from the link posted above.
I think I have this right, but just to be sure, check with Mazworx if it is correct.
