I hear ya, my exhaust is quite loud. I mean really the cyclinder doesn't look like anything happens really. It's strange.

From what it looked like the detonation focused at that point and melted the piston cherry, the. Everything was forced through the hole in the piston.

Lynch I hear ya man, I'm spec'in everything ill resort back.

Sounds like you wanna add fuel man, that or turn down the boost. What octane fuel is avail in Maine? What were your AFRs at WOT?

New pistons and rings and rods and cometic head gasket, it's 8:5:1 now would I have to change my base tune? John Kerr hasn't emailed me back yet, I have a marsh appointment Monday and I'm trying to figure out if I can run the same base tune he supplied

11.7 WOT is perfect. 14.5 at idle and cruising is perfect. WOT is where you will destroy your motor again though. If you're unsure man just trailer it to be totally secure. Otherwise just don't hammer on it while en route to CT. Granny shift!!! Beat her up on the ride home :-D I myself am friggin neurotic though so any number higher than 11.7 WOT concerns me. That's why mine runs pretty good how it is, rich, and I'm not messing with the tune further till I myself get down to marsh.

This is true man, I'm gunna turn down the boost and granny shift.

Maine has 93 just really hard to come by 91 is really the highest, maybe a water/methanol kit will richen it up and keep her healthy. I'm just waiting on parts from Greg

You got trigger happy, it happens. Sucks when it does though I'm sure. I made sure mine was rich on initial startup after the build/swap that she broke up, I HAD to lean her out just to get her to run right. My buddy did a street tune, some crap happened, years later now I've recently messed with the tune to straighten her out. She idles and cruises on the money, 14.5, and WOT is very safe at 10.5-11. Some other thing things are off though and I wanna pull all the power I can, that's why I'll be heading to Marsh eventually.
