GTiR Water Pump Weep Hole(s)
Is there more than one weep hole on the GTiR water pump? I have a coolant leak that appears to be coming from the water pump, but I can only see one weep hole on the top and the coolant isn't coming from there. Is there another one on the bottom side of the shaft?

I have a new water pump on order, but I would like to know for sure if it's coming from the pump itself before I go through the ropes of changing it.

Thanks.

Sometimes it can also leak through the shaft as well as the gasket - Whenever I put a SR20DET 54C in a car I always replace the water pump first as it can be a bit more difficult than your average SR20 water pump to replace.

If you have the money, get the block off place and install the electric ware pump

I just got my new water pump in over lunch. I'm gonna go with this one for the time being... when it starts to go, or I decide I want to make more power, I'll go with the block off plate and electric pump.

Luckily, I was aware. It actually only took me about 2 hours to change the water pump... and only that long b/c the engine was still hot when I was pulling it apart. It's not that big of a deal if you jack the right side of the motor up and happen to have an air wrench to get the pulley bolts off.
