I looked at an SE bumper today and I will think about it. It would look nice...

I am too excited to sleep. After a hard day's work shawn has finished the intercooler piping! He is a good friend of mine and is doing all the welding for the new setup. He just sandblasted all the pipe and cleaned it out. Tomorrow we paint the pipes and hook everything up! I can't wait to feel the BOOOOOOSTT!

This car IS SICK!

car is on the road now. I am breaking her in. Feels good, but I hit a lil boost and blew the maf adapter to pieces. It was a plastic one on ebay. The rubber gasket between the maf and the adapter blew out too. So shawn is making a metal one out of an old turbo compressor housing he has laying around. It should be nice when it is done.

Car is cleaned up a little bit and looks really good. About the only thing I don't really like is the solid mounts. But I guess it is either wheel hop or stiff mounts.

The car felt good when it hit boost for the first time, too bad it didn't last but a second... The adapter may be done tomorrow and if so I will slap it on and do a small pull. And of course i will get video for all those who care to see it.

Not necessarily. See my posts in this thread:

I am impressed so far. I pulled right next to my buddies sentra. I know he has to be around 330whp with his disco on 18-19psi. We played a little bit, me with a passenger. He outspooled me and got a car, then held it for a while. The car pulls very hard and very smooth! No VVL yet! I don't have any idea how it is going to pull when it goes from 8mm lift to 11.3!

I had a little problem with the turbo coolant lines melting lol. One melted and caused me to lose some coolant, I fixed the leak but didn't fill the coolant. Then at Mcdonalds I saw the temp start slowly rising, but I didn't hear the fans kick. I think it was just a few air bubbles in the coolant and the fact it was a lil low. It did fine when pulling on the freeway. I was scared it was a blown gasket or something. I was about to crap myself lol. But the whole drive home it did very well. stayed below the normal mark.

The turbo hits so much harder now that is for sure! I have full boost by 42-4500 rpm. I nail about 15psi at only 4k. That's good for me!

As far as how fast the car is, there is one thing working against me. Gearing. The p11 tranny and oversized tires do not work too well. The car struggles to break traction in 2nd, either I have good grip or the car doesn't have any power lol. I am going to guess about 325-330whp without the VVL. All bets are on to see what the VVL will do. I will be happy with a 30whp increase. I will be ecstatic if the car hits over 350whp on this tune. My AFR is still 10.3-10.8:1.
