where is the filter for the maf. they don't run so well with out a filter. As ben stated the bov must be recirculated. I would also do a comp and leak down test for piece of mind.

what do the plugs look like? Sounds like a fueling issue to me.

I took the plugs out and gapped them to .30. They seemed ok. Ill try and get a pressure tester today. I did a compression test already cyl 1 was 142 the rest were over 150. Theres no filter cause the one on the car was rediculously dirty and uncleanable, I have to pick one up. Ill try to re-circ the bov but I gotta modify my other intake pipe to do that.

Make sure you do a hot test for the compression. Make sure the throttle is all the way open. I forget to do that some times. I would say once you recirc the bov and get a filter you should be better. You may also want to adjust the tps. should be between .45-.55 volts they seem to like to be set to .48 volts. Might want to clean the maf as well if the filter was super dirty.

Recirculate the Recirculating Valve

Also, the is the MAF adapter plate blocking the sensor inside the MAF?

As soon as you give the car more than 5% throttle it bogs down and doesn't want to go anywhere.


Is this all the time or only when warm or cold?

The first couple times I get on it it feels ok, literally like 1-2 times, then after that its always bogging. I bought a filter just now and added a nipple my other intake pipe so now I can recirc the bov. I will put that together later today. I stopped at Autozone and got a pressure tester for the coolant system but it didn't fit on my car...

Also I can see the sensor for the maf so it should be ok, aside from the ghetto zip tied on plug.

Bov recirculated, air filter installed although you cant see it, and rotated the maf so the plug is up. Seems like it ran slightly better but still nasty bogging.

I noticed when I rev it up it likes to backfire if I rev it up to like 4-5k and get off the throttle.

I'd say it sounds like it is running lean. It's not dumping smoke from the exhaust, right?

Sounds like it is time to rule out sensors/actuators/ECU one-by-one.
