Stuck with what VVL head to use for vet build.
I currently have two Cylinder head set ups.

- P11 SR20VE Head with N1 Manifold & throttle body with 850cc injectors.
- SR20VET Head

BOTH heads will have porting done, oversized valves, & large cams. Both setups are using COP and CAS

Each set up could fetch some good money if sold and kept the other

If i used the VET head, i would have to buy new injectors and 20v intake and install p11 exhaust rockers (which i have spare anyways)

What would be the best path to take, I am really stuck. My power goal is 400-500HP and i am awd. I have talked to a few people and got some good opinions.

- SR20VET head is better on paper, but once you boost them they are about the same as the p11
- To squeeze every last HP out of the setup, use the best base head (vet)
- If i used the vet head i will have the "wank factor" of having a Genuine SR20VET (i am using the vet block with ether builds)
- I already have all the parts for the p11 setup, sell the vet head and get some money to pay for porting labor costs.

I would use the p11 head. Do you have upgraded springs and retainers in the p11 head. I know getting a kit for a p12 head can be difficult. Also the vet head only switches the intake cam unless you get the parts to convert it to switch both cams.

Yes i have upgraded springs and retainers, i was told if i use P11 valve guides in the VET/P12 Head i can use the normal retainers. I do have the parts to convert to both cam switching.

The p12 head flows more stock. Buying new injectors especially Id injectors will result in much better fuel atomization. It is pretty cool having a real vet. I am not sure if I could resist.

Once it arrives ill check the condition of the motor and go from there.

Engine was sold cheap due to blown headgasket, so will have to get head checked for warp/cracks

Here in chile I've seen an stock SR16VE head w/ SR20VE bottom (stock sr16cams, stock intake) throwing a bit more than 550whp fwd. So I'm thinking SR20VE
