What i want to know is a t2 flange the same as a T3 flange. I have a Turbonetics T3 turbo but have no clue what manifold to get. Im looking for something cost effective but would like the turbo mounted on top of the manifold

Nope. T2 and T3 flanges are different. You could re-drill the T2 flange to accomodate the T3 flange, IIRC.
the stock DET manifolds are built quality , you dont have to worry about it warping or not fitting properly. maybe after so many years the start to get a a hairline crack but nothing major.
Welding to them is a pain . But a ive seen it done and the work well.
