GTIR swap coming very shortly, anyone have a heads up for me?
Before I start and you start hounding me (Keo... lol), I HAVE SEARCHED AND FOUND NOTHING.

I'm gonna be putting a GTIR that came out of another 200sx (was only in there for a few thousand miles). Are there any physical modifications to the car that need to be made? Cross member, motor mounts, etc, etc. I've already made the changes for my P11 transmission, so I'm not worried about that. I just want to make sure there's no changes/modifications that need to be made outside of swapping the sensors and such on the motor (obviously not needed in this case as it's using a JWT chipped ECU already and was in another USDM vehicle previously).

Also, should I just order a regular SR20 head gasket, or does the GTIR require a special one? I know some parts are interchangeable, but I'm not sure which ones.

Personal experiences/write ups/etc...

Thanks for any info.

Any write ups on the swap that you know of?

A/C doesn't matter... it's gone already anyway.

I haven't found a single write up that says anything about the cross member or axle bracket... keep in mind that this is being swapped into an SE-R, so the original engine/harness, etc was setup for an SR20 already.

It's easy, pass side axle will bolt up but with only 2 bolts out of the three...grind the upper pan as the webbing will hit the crossmember, I'd honestly stay away from a gtir as the replacement parts are not as commonly interchangeable with your normal de/det parts
You can go down to the parts store and grab a water pump for it as its different, flywheel bolts, crank, head bolts, head gasket, block is all much different

Make sure you have enough fuel so when "you crank up the boost" it doesn't frag a piston.
