it's all in the turbine housing. dont matter what turbo it is.

Correct. So I am stuck with a 5 bolt turbine housing. Is it a safe assumption that a 5 bolt from any company will position the turbo in the same spot assuming they are internally the same size turbo?

interesting.
I have the same issue with my turbo, but opted to mod the hood to fix clearance issues

Lol like a boss that must have been a huge ass turbo. I had some fitment issues once I couldnt run my 4 bolt exhaust housing so I had to run my 5 bolt housing but there was a gap between the housing and the turbine blade there was no way of knowing for sure but I'm pretty sure it wasnt helping when it came to spool up time and lag.

I've read that the 4 bolt housings make a little more top end power. I have no personal experience to speak to that though.

Yeah I had to use a spacer to clear the head. It then pushed my compressor housing up too much for the hood to close without some modifications.

I'm in Mesa
