18 psi on a T25? You would do better on 10-12psi. At that amount of boost, your intercooler isnt doing much.

yeah, its easily that, cuz on my first se-r all motor i went from a 14.5 with a 2.21 60' to a 14.3 with a 2.16 60' just that difference and whatever other little things made a good difference. Plus the weather is supposed to be perfect. Low 60's, no wind, and the track is usually well prepped. With the suspension stiffened up i think a 1.7 60' is possible and thats almost .5 better than what i got on street tires.

But here is the other issue, when i was on street tires i was launching at 5k partial throttle because the track was so sticky if i launched below that i would bog then when i punched it it would just spin and then spin most of second also to about 50mph. With the slicks i shouldnt spin at all through 1st and second except for a little off the launch. which will also make up for some lost time past the 60' mark. So on street tires i would launch at 5k then punch it and the tires would just spin. I should see a pretty big increase because there was still time lost after the 60' mark. Plus i was really being easy on the shift to 2nd on my street tires too. Im gonna take it up a notch and since my foot will be to the floor on the launch and through 1st i will probably just keep it there as i slam 2nd gear and that too should cut some time off. The car has alot of potential.

it drops to 12 anyways, its only at 18psi below 5k, at the dragstrip your not going to see that much boost anyways except for off the line in first and maybe for a split second in 3rd and 4th gear. But yeah after 5k it dies off. Its mainly for mid range torque and power increase but on a dragstrip you dont really use much midrange, very little time spent there.

yeah i know, im mainly worried about the passenger side axle snapping, but i think preloading will take most of the intense shock on it away. But yeah its gonna be abuse definitely. Im gonna give it all i got though, maybe not on the first pass but still gonna push it hard off the line to see how its going to react

Seems to me this is your first turbo car, at 18psi on a T25 your making tons of hot compressed air. T25 fall off around 5800-6200 so your mid-range is pretty much your top end. I found the best results @10psi on a T25, don't think I'm beating on you. Just sharing my 2cents weather you take it or not.

no its not my first turbo car, but thats what im saying, it doesnt hold 18psi, its more like 12 on top end, and that shouldnt give too much heat, but yes at my midrange its 18psi. I understand the heat produced from it also. thats why i have to use 100 octane when in my midrange at 18psi or it will want to detonate due to high cylinder temps. So it would basicly be the same if i had it set to 12 and hold 12. there is a big difference from 7psi to 12psi up topend. Its the midrange is where it gets really quick, thats why by how the car feels at 18psi im pretty sure the torque is way way up there. probably close to the 300wtq range while the hp is probably only around 260-275 whp range. Ill see how it goes.

The car is all ready to go basicly. The Ground control coilovers feel awesome especially with new es bushings on the front and rear sway bars. It actually handles really really well now and has a good feel, not too harsh of a ride. Should keep the front wheels planted to the ground pretty well too.

Slicks are currently being mounted as we speak so i will post back on here when i get home with some vids and timeslips. Wish me luck.
