Hitting up the track this Saturday...LOOK
Well guys this is going to be the one shot probably till fall. Im going back out on slicks and 18psi boost this time on the t25 trying to possibly hit an 11.9. Wish me luck, decided to go with the 22"X8"X15" slick. Going to do the first run without a burnout to see how it goes. Preload the drivetrain and revlimiter launch with a nice quick slip of the clutch. Gonna set them at 10psi to start with and go from there. Should be able to cut some pretty good 60's.

Putting a Ground Control setup on there and the es sway bar bushing kit to help keep the car nice and stiff. Weather is supposed to be perfect. mid 60's by nightime which is when i will be running, i will have vids of all the runs i make so keep a look out. Cant wait, im getting excited. This is my first time on slicks on any car btw. but ive done a lot of reasearch and know how it works. Gonna depend on track condition as well and this track usually is pretty sticky too so it should help. Let me know what you guys think. Here is my full setup of when im gonna go.

92 SE-R

JDM SR20 with stock rods and CP 9:1 pistons
S13 T25 and S13 aftermarket tubular manifold
Greddy 3" turbo outpipe running open dumping straight down.
JWT S4 cams
Prothane MM and custom solid front dogbone to clear downpipe.
18psi boost bleeding to 12 by redline.
Calum basic ECU tuned for 370's at 4bar Z32 MAF fine tunned by myself
Ill be running 100 octane race fuel to be safe.
ACT Extreem PP and 4 puck unsprung disk
Fidanza Flywheel
B14 trans with Mobil 1 fluid
New oem axles

Weight reduction
No A/C at all under the hood or under dash.
No front bumper support
No rear bumper support
No Power steering at all.
No Emmissions crap at all.
No spare tire, board, carpet, or jack
No underbody heat sheilds.
Gutted front and rear bumper.
No exhaust on the car.
I will have the passenger seat out along with the rear seat cusions when i go.

I think that is all. Previous best was a 13.0 @ 110mph on my crappy street tires with a 2.19 60' on only 8psi boost before the CP pistons on a 9.5:1 motor. Hoping for 1.7 60' at best if the track condition is good. 1.8 should be a definite. Mph will probably sit around 113-115. We will see how it goes. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Good luck at the track.18 psi is a little much for that turbo.

Its not all about the trap speed to run the 11.9. Daveracer did an 12.1 @110mph. My trap was 110 on 8psi on my street tires with a 2.19 60' Daveracers 60' was 1.81 or something in that range. That was the difference and good shifts which i have alot of drag racing experience just not lately. i went almost 2 years where i was at the track almost every weekend with my old se-r. On that same night had i been on slicks and cut a 1.8 60' my time would have been around a 12.3-5 at around that same mph maybe 109, but i had to baby it off the line and then just spin the crap out of the tires through first and second. Slicks is a whole different ballgame.

I know 18psi is overkill but the initial torque gain which will help off the line is alot better. it only holds 18 till around 5 then bleeds to 12 and holds 12 till redline. i will more than likely shift 1st and 2nd at redline then 3rd at 7k then end 3/4 the way through 4th

better traction better driving= better times, trap speeds dont need to be overly high to run a fast quarter

hopefully you can do low low 12s. i know i shaved a full second from my street tire times to using slicks.
from a 13.5@112 to 12.4@115

yeah thats what im hoping, im thinking with a .4 second better 60' and not spinning through 1st and 2nd gear and added boost im hoping to cut 1.1 seconds off and trap a little higher. Cant wait.

every tenth shaved off the 60ft is equal to two tenths in the 1/4. generally
