I would rather run that K's racing manifold on ebay over that. I'm surprised you're pulling good vacuum.

Keep your eye on oil level man. You are risking more than just the turbo with an oil leak. Keep in mind they need proper lubrication spinning at like 150,000rpm. I would buy a new oil line kit and try a different oil pressure gauge. On my DE's I would see at least 60-65psi in the upper revs. ~15-25psi at idle. If you are still seeing 0-12psi I would not run it.

ok man, i def dont want to loose my motor.

so you once had an itb setup??
so why did you swap from it?
i love mine but i have NOT touched that part of the car since it was last tuned.

funny about the vacuum though.
if you watch my photobucket video of me going from 2nd gear-4th. my vacuum never went below a -15/-17. and i was boosting 13psi just perfect.
this was the second day i had the car its post # 39

You have a oil feed issue. nismo_star pretty much broke it down for you. Also 10w30 is not good on a turbo car. I run 20w 50 vr1. the lowest I would run is 10w 40. Also are you using the correct oil restrictor for you turbo?

Depends on the temperature.

For the colder months of the year, I run 10W30, and for the warmer months/HPDE I run 20w50.

As mentioned earlier you have a oil feed issue
@C-Lawless Did you not buy new lines as I suggested to you several months ago??

True. I forget not every one lives in a sub tropical climate. I also don't drive my car when its cold out or raining.

yes sir. its no oil feed/return problem.
Its a oil gauge problem. which caused the slow oil feed problem.
and no sir I did not the first time around months ago. Hardheaded i am!
but after frying 3 other t28 turbos since messaging you at just idle.
I knew something was up!
so i found what it was. The guy i traded the sr20vet sentra YOU wanted had the oil line in the nx2000 hooked up with a hard rubber hose, that slowly melted making a very slow oil leak.
all is fixed now.

so 10w 30 is a bad weight in a highport sr?

I will run 10w 30 in a stock motor. I will not run it in a turbo car. 10w 40 would the lightest I would put in a turbo car. I prefer the 20w 50 vr1 for my built ve-t. Remember the turbo is also added heat to the oil. The hotter the oil the lower the oil pressure.

I had no clue about all that.
Im getting ready to put the 18g turbo on when the banjo bolt comes in lol
so when I put this on and get ready to start the car, I should see what readings on the gauges @ idle?

also forgot I bought a exhaust temp gauge today. where would be the best place to put the theromstat?

you should have 80psi of oil pressure on a cold start and around 18-20psi at idle with the car fully warmed up.
