a egt sensor has to be installed in the manifold. personally I think they are a waste of time unless you monitor all four cylinders. This requires 4 egt probes mounted. one mounted in each runner.

got a question though. why higher oil pressure on start up? than at idle?
is this cause the oil gets warm/hot and thins down causing the pressure in the oil to drop?

Warmer oil temps is the main reason. You also have a lower rpm @ idle when the car is warmed up, vs. cold idle which is slightly higher.

@C-Lawless: Must have been a gusher of a leak in that hose to lose enough oil pressure to burn out the turbo. I think you still have a problem. To lose enough pressure to damage a turbo you won't have a dripping leak; it would be SPRAYING everywhere.

Unless it is literally spraying oil, I predict you will be back here with another blown turbo. Is your pressure back up?

yes oil pressure is right when last checked its like in the above video.
when I use to be able to hold STEADY 13-14psi. (boost)

OIL pressure: Startup was at about 64psi.
when revving the car after full warm up I had about 58-61psi
driving in 2nd/3rd/4th it was around 40psi.


oil gauge old install reason I didnt notice the oil spraying...
whole reason I never seen spraying oil.
t28 ------oil line tight here------ its T'd off to my oil pressure gauge with a plastic line---------------------OIl line---------- back of block of motor.

the T'd off part in my line slowly was leaking behind the block. perfect to where I never seen oil all over under my car it just dripped so slow I never noticed. until I started taking my WHOLE oil line apart.

so I never really wanted to go behind the block to find the other end of that T'd off oil line.

I would check your oil restrictor while you have the oil line taken apart. It would have to be a hell of a leak to blow 5 turbos in 4000 miles. I drove with an oil leak on my first t25 for longer than that and that turbo lasted me like 2 or 3 years. (Note I fixed the leak after ~4months)

I have no leaks now. Car is apart again.
so I'm stuck looking for a M10X1.25 oil line.

Reason looking for a new oil line the whole line is?
I dont want a T in my oil supply line to my turbo. i'm sure there is another way for me to get the oil pressure readings for my gauge (we can cover this later). Here is what I have going on with the car/turbo setup.
- 18g turbocharger (have already)
- banjo bolt (have it coming)
- oil line (need this M10X1.25 is the thread size to the turbo)

I need basically 3 things
new oil line, banjo bolt, and washers for bolt.

But I need help finding,,,

i wish i was that lucky! no leaks now. going to a new setup! 18g turbo

your oil pressure is still low if you only have 65psi on start up. I would guess the o-ring in the oil pump is leaking or you pickup tube is obstructed. do not run another turbo until you fix your oil pressure.

but I can easily take it off.
how does one fix oil pressure on a turbo car without the turbo?

I agree I need to fix my pressure.
would draw through/blow through make a difference?
