FX500 question before purchase.
Forgive me if this has been discussed before but is anybody here using this clutch for street use. I was doing some research and notice that this clutch is recommended for race use only and that it is an instant on and off engagement.

I've got to ask; what kind of torque are you expecting to have to deal with?

Learn how to drive with the clutch and you will be fine

People on the internet like to bitch and a majority are a bunch of pussies

I do not daily drive my setup (11lb flywheel and fx500) but really, if you just learn the slip point, adjust the clutch cable properly, "most" supposedly unstreetable clutches will do just fine. I could drive mine in stop and go traffic (which I have done on many occasions) and it is only slightly harsher than my G as far as engagement and such is concerned

Good luck!

400+ I wont be abusing the car much just dont want to have clutch slipping issues(P11 tranny) when i do romp on it. I am slowly piecing together and still reasearching everything needed for a 6 speed swap.

Btw,they don't stock them anymore. When you order it it gets shipped directly from clutchmaster,so it may take a lil longer. Also look for discount codes,i paid $249 for mine last night.
They also have 2 options,a 4 puck and a 6 puck, hdb4 and hdb6.

You should be fine. I drive my spec twin disk on the street. At first It was a pain but it's just like a regular clutch to me now.
