I know nothing about turbochargers but from what it sounds like is a bad wheel bearing but only happens on the boost I'm assuming maybe It have something to do with my bearing in my compressor was curious if that usually is a symptom of a failing ball bearing turbo?no leaks sccording to presure gauge.no surging everything holds steady in boost.ni surging.checked before dropping motor in no shaft play. Do our drains get clogged from stAnding a while?

if the bearings are going the compressor wheel should have play in it. remove the intake pipe and check the wheel. you should not have any up and down movement. You should less than 1mm in and out.

Compressor side bearing is shot, my t25 did the same thing before I removed. Boosted fine but the wheel was having slight contact with the housing causing that noise.

It sounded like a low pitch wistle that lasts for l ike three seconds and goes away?what causes this kind of bearing failure? Car ran fine and all of a sudden it started. Im going to take my intake off today to check for shaft play.is it beter ifbi remove the heatshield to inspect this issue as well? Also could it be a leak on the exhaust manifold? I shaved a oittle off a heatshield mounting point t clear my ac.

Need new turbo buddy or get that thing rebuilt, even tho for the price most of the times is better to send a t28 unit to get rebuilt instead.... i would say baby it until it blows xD
