Highcomp de+t Q
So I'm looking to build a mild highcomp det i have a log manifold and i would like to keep it so goung ve is out of the question and i want something different lso I've been looking around and haven't found any information for a de its all for ve, so I went to gspec and it says that n1 piston yield 10:1 is this true?! Any input would be appreciated

1) I can almost guarantee for high compression anything will NEED you ditch that log manifold

2) DO NOT SKIMP ON TUNING SOFTWARE OR THIS WILL BE BLOWN UP IN LITERALLY 30 MILES!

^ Correct. My DE is 10-1 but it's a decked out motor. I'm got CP Flat tops.

why using stock cast pistons ? build it right, get quality forged pistons. make sure you spend on money on tuning software as boostlee says.

Boostlee, why ditch log for high compression ? My DET was 11:1 w/ SC61 turbo and Pro-Tech log setup controlled by RNN14 Power FC. I had no issues, I made the power I needed. could i have made more with a equal length mani ? Probably...but I had alot of fun

Those are sexy as hell! Are those still custom order and require the 6 months wait?

I was looking to getting it done like by next month I'm sure I won't be able to get the cp of the shelf and its probably a 3-6 months wait also my friend has had a stock ve motor with about 6-8 months of constant nitrous battles on weekends went all motor for 4-5 months and turbo the car for 7- to still counting on the same stock motor and its never been apart!! Lol honestly it all comes down to who tunes it, we got plenty of det and vet set ups I Don' like been in the same category need something different, as far as tuning I got Jamie tuning the car on aem I trust him with all my builds hands down honestly just want a fun 300-400 range I know you can make that out of a de with out problems but why not be different!!

If you're going for 300-400 HP Range then don't go crazy. Use the VE and run a Meth kit on it to keep it cool under boost. Jamin will do his thing on the rest

it's even easier on a VE to make the power ...
DE+T Goodness 330~whp @ 17psi

or

VE+T Goodness 350~whp @ 14psi

Patients isn't my thing lol I know it will take that long to do it right and Jamie keeps telling me to stay de lmao he has me sold on the de set up, freaking guy boosted a stock de at 25 psi and the damn motor held together for a few more weeks until it blew the head gasket
