Fitting ID1000s in stock injector ports?
Anyone use ID1000s and fit them in the stock injector ports? It seems like I'll have to really force the bottom o-ring on the injector through the port, and the metal sleeve after the o-ring on the injector is slightly bigger than the stock port. I am not sure if boring out the port is the solution.

Maybe you got the 14mm Version?

I did get the 14mm version because the CS Fuel rail is for the 14mm version. The 11mm version is only 11mm on the fuel rail side. It doesn't change on the intake manifold side - still 14mm on the intake port side.

The injectors you have are fine. Dont use the o rings. Just use the seats/cusions to seal them. Thats how i did my 1000s on the de head. Worked fine.

That's strange my id1000 went in without any problems with the o rings installed.

Ashton, the problem is even if I take off the o-ring, it won't go down far enough for the seat cushion to seal. Refer to the pic below...The metal sleeve (represented by the grey area in the pic) is slightly bigger than the stock bore. The seat cushion slides up to the first 1/4" of the black part on the injector.

You have to get the special cusions for those injectors. The only difference between the ve ports and de ports is the oem cusion size. The bore should be identical. They make the id1000 injectors specifically for the SR motor. The part where the o-ring is is different and is actually non existent. The tip is different, it goes around the cusion and the start of the silver part above the o-ring in the picture is what seats against the custion.

You can see what i mean there. These injectors had no lower o-ring.

By what your describing your better off to purely use the oring seal and bore the manifold out to fit the o-ring. The o-ring seal is more than enough to seal it. Ive been using purely o-ring seal on my new manifold and its never had issues. No seats or cusions.
