Ok guys, the STI yellows arrived, don´t know the diference from USDM´s(everybody quotes them from 480cc to 520cc)... but the UKDM were flow tested@440cc´s... the same as gti´rs...
Tried to swap wire terminals but end up giving up, don´t have proper tools and didn´t seem proper fit... did the conections everything worked ok, started the car and it stumbled a bit, like misfiring... the WBO2 indicated pig rich, took alot of fuel, like 45%@idle, trough the SAFC2 and it purred very nice... like stock...
Went for a ride, did a log with datascan 1.52 with WBO2, and the car is pig rich everywere... then i remenber i was using a DE maf with the gti-r ecu... swapped to the gtir MAF(that i tought it was f*cked) and it seems good, altough very rich...
So:
DE 259cc´s, DE 53j MAF, GTIR 54c ecu= runs fine, like stock, very powerfull dur to agressive timing, maxes out when on boost and after 5000rpm
440cc´s(gtir or sti), DE 53j maf, GTIR 54c ecu= runs like crap, pig rich everywere maxes out around 5000...
440cc´s(gtir or sti), GTIR DET 54c maf, GTIR 54c ecu= gold
Moral of the story, it seems to me that´s very important to match the MAF with the injectors... you can probably use the DE our DET ecu, the diference it´s in the maps... but in terms of the car running right the maf/injector combo it´s the priority...
Then i could be wrong... ahahahhaha...
Following that logic, if you use the 370cc´s you should use the s14 MAF...
Here´s some pics(the oil breather is temporary, i´m going to do it properly):
