You can still kinda hear the vvl pop on a turbo car

Are you trying to refer that the turbo is quieter..??? lol The turbo acts and does the job of a nice quiet muffler. You could definitely hear vvl pop on my turbo setup but on a t2 you will barely hear it.

Not only quieter but less raspy and less ricey. When I was autocrossing I had a few people run up to the car to ask what it was and was was in it, I can see why now... they probably thought Nissan kids are now doing Honda VTAK swaps...

Pretty much any turbo car though will be soo much quiter and basically no rasp. Rasp comes from resonance in the metal and muffler. The turbo pretty much eliminates that from happening.

Because N/A operates basically on frequency and resonance and turbo operates purely on exhaust pressure and forced air into the motor, you dont get that resonance you get with n/a motors. To make an n/a motor sound good, proper piping material and muffler, and bends go a long way at ridding the exhaust of that raspy tone. My buddy peter's ve with 3" manderal exhaust and a good VRS 3" muffler, no cat, no resonator, ssac header, sounded really good and smooth at pretty much any rpm.
