Guess it's a hit or miss with walbro as with some other manufacturers out there. My walbro lasted me 4 years and some months.

Yah Walbros can be hit or miss. I think there are some counterfeits out there too (just like the Bosch, make sure your Bosch is made in CZ, not "Germany"). I've been lucky with the few I've worked with. My personal one is still going strong maybe 6 years later.

They are a point of failure (leaks and calibration drift) that is unnecessary in my mind. They are also used all too often to compensate for things that a FPR should not be used to compensate for. They are not the devil. I exaggerate. Plenty of people have good luck with them. You'll learn to compensate for my hyperbole soon. =D

walboro pumps are fine. Make sure to get a real one and not a copy. mine is almost 10 years old and works fine. Also with the walboro hp pump your base fuel pressure will go up by 3-4psi. This is why most use a adj fpr.

That's a fuel pressure jump at idle only though. Once out of idle the return line has enough flow to allow the FRP to do it's job correctly. It is not a pressure jump throughout the range, just when those injectors are only bleeding off a tiny bit of pressure.

interesting did not think of it that way. I have the nismo fpr because I used to run a 4 bar program. This was also before the nismo prices went through the roof.

Talking to me? The Bosch 044 is the common pump used, and commonly counterfeited. Look up the specs though, it is overkill for anything less than 425 WHP.
