If you want to keep a/c the easiest way is to have a ic with the inlet and outlet on the same side. then run the cold side beside the radiator on the drivers side. You can also run the cold side back around the radiator or it needs to go through the hole beside the battery mounting location.

Yep, DIY kit ftw. Get the kit with the reinforced 3 or 4 ply couplers and t-bolt clamps. There is enough bends and stuff that you will have to make a couple cuts which you can do with a grinder w/ cutting disk, chop saw, or sawzall, or even a simple hack saw. Just mount the intercooler mock up the piping. Out of all the kits ive done i usually get the one that comes with a couple straight, couple 45's couple 90's and couple U bends. 3" kit for bigger turbos, 2 1/2" for smaller turbos. Usually have to make like 3 cuts total running the piping around to the wheel well and so on. Simple to do.

This intercooler will make life a lot easier for you if you plan on keeping the a/c. You can route both pipes through the driver's side wheel well area. It's also for sale if you're interested.

Wait how is AC in the way routing it with regular intercooler? That one above is actually worse because AC dryer sits in that location, plus it flows like crap.

Then AC is not a concern either thus no reason to run a horrible flowing intercooler like that at all.

You can go around the radiator with A/C no problem.

I think. :o

Ben is right you can go around the radiator with AC. You'll have to get creative and it WILL be a PITA. We've done it on a pulsar which is very similar to the B13. Sry don't have pics of it though.
We've upgraded to 3" piping since then and the car is no longer a daily so AC and all of its relatives had to take a permanent vacation .
