i doubt you can grind 4 pistons and keep them all balanced. oem det pistons are only like $60 a piece, you won't run right with used pistons from another engine unless they were extremely low miles, just get a new set. you can also get some upgrade forged aluminum for only a couple hundred more

putting used pistons back into the same engine is fine as long as you check to make sure they are round and not worn etc. but i have been told by a couple people that i trust that its not a good idea to put used pistons from one engine into another.

if you are going through the trouble of tearing down an engine, why not spend a few bucks and get new internals so you basically have a new engine. unless you are on an extreme budget and you have the used ones sittin around and are in a pinch just grab some oem det pistons for 240 for a set or some forged wiseco or JE for maybe twice that.
