Nah, I wasn't thinking when I was typing this out this morning. Not enough coffee in my blood.

You're correct. All I should have to do is put the car into timing mode, rotate the dizzy back to center and HOPEFULLY it idles fine around 15 degrees, and doesn't give me any issues as it has previously done.

IT IDLES! IT RUNS! IT SCARED THE PISS OUT OF ME!

I'm guessing the cams really are that lopey at idle. I was able to get the car into timing mode, and to turn the dizzy a little bit back towards center, and now the car remains at 15 degrees at idle. I haven't done the timing gun check just yet, that's coming soon.

Boost comes in a lot later than with a T25, but once it starts building, I let off because I'm actually kinda afraid to drive it right now. I have a bad wheel bearing, a broken dipstick, a missing overflow coolant tank, as well as a few other items that have yet been installed. (Not to mention the oil leaks coming from a few orfices. )

SO HAPPY!

Thas such a beautiful beast. Good luck on getting her all done.

Good to hear Tekkie.

Now the TLC comes in. Clean things up and fine tune the car before you let her rip.

Just when I thought things were going well

Took her on the maiden voyage today, now that I have the hood latches and everything buttoned up.

Idles a little lean, which isn't a big deal. Under partial throttle she's lean, around 15, and under WOT, it goes WAY lean. It's almost as if the fuel pressure regulator (new Nismo unit) isn't responding? I don't know what to put the finger on right now, but I had to baby it back to the house.

Any ideas? The vacuum is a bit low, but I've gone thru the usual vacuum checks and haven't come back with anything. I'm thinking maybe the gauge is off?

Bump for ideas. Really wanna drive the car, can't think of why the car goes way lean in boost, other than vacuum, which I haven't found any vacuum leaks.

have you tried adjusting the nismo fpr? for a more richer condition?
at idle?

Yep. I know the FPR is working, because initially (before I adjusted it), it was at around 90psi This was with the car off, in the run position so that I could prime the fuel lines via fuel pump pressurization. I backed it down to about 42 psi. I would have thought that free revving the motor in idle with no load would at least fluctuate the fuel pressure, but it bounces around 40~43psi at idle.

Even if the FPR is adjusted properly, if the car is running really lean across the board, you should be able to richen it up with the fuel pressure.

I'll give it a shot.

The K value was already increased, as well as the injector latency, in the bin file. The values were at 208 on the K value, and .56 for injector latency, and I bumped the K value to 218 and the latency to .63ms.

I'll add more fuel and see what happens, but I have a feeling that there's still something else there that isn't right.
