Air filter replacement. Recommendations please.
I have a 3" pipe coming off my turbo that sits behind the bumper under the battery tray. I've had my HSCAI filter on there for awhile but I'm trading it off. Its a tight fit in there and I need a good small filter in there.

You can kind of see it here;

I like the APEXi power intake but I'm not wanting to drop over $100 for the filter coupler and all that gear plus it will be a tough fit.

So far KNN RR-3003 is the most likely

Something short like the one this guy is selling would be ideal but I can't seem to find anything like that;

Not considering HKS mushroom or eBay filters. Car is set up for blow-through so all I want is a compact dual cone style filter that will attach on with a worm clamp.

i would say aem or k&n like you already mentioned. i personally have been running the random spectre brand cone filter on my cai's for about 2 years now, and they seem to be holding up rather well. i think it cost me 25 bucks tops.

too big ?

^ You are in the ballpark but I want a double cone style intake. It tapers down from the inlet and it has a second layer of filter media instead of a cap.

I don't really have room for an adapter and I don't want to get into chopping up my pipe again. It took quite a bit of work with a few friends to fabricate.

Get an S&B filter from here http://www.sbfilters.com/

read my review here http://www.g20.net/forum/showthread.php?t=77440

These things are better then K&N's and half the price!

very nice find bro. I read your review, seems like a great bang for the buck. What are the sizes you used for the Power stack filter like the JWT

Yeah some of their stuff is not that good. The hard parts are fine though

I am leaning towards the sb filter right now (thanks for that link) but I'd like a shorty filter. I found another car that has one;

I am a bit worried that that might choke the intake though. Maybe I'm just obsessing but I don't want to buy this thing again in two weeks.

I found those little shorty filters! I was at advanced auto and they had them in the "I wanna be a ricer" isle. It was right next to the neon liscense plate things! I snapped a pic for you. They do have the inverted cone on the top and everything. Only $20 too!

Here is a link to thier site with details, http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=APC&MfrPartNumber=151411

Thanks man. I just can't see putting any APC part on my car. Ever.
