my car was recently retuned and the car is now making 100whp more than the last time, and is now at 300whp, and im upping the boost to 17psi which will be another 100whp, an will be making around 400whp... and im due for a oil change, and the shop where my car was at they recomended ENEOS 0W-50, HOWEVER, they were charging almost 25.00 a quart for it which is double and a half over what eneo website sellsit for, altho im not sure if you can even order it from their website and its not a dealer onl type thing i donno.
but my question is, how much whp is your sr20 making and what oil/grade are you using, from what i wa reading a race engine is due to run thinner oil and gets semi thick when hot, like 0w-40 verses running like 5w-30.
what oil grade do you guys recomend for 400whp? 0w-40/0w-50/5w-30?
just looking to get diff ideas of power/oil/grade performaces
also this isnt a daily drien car, and is a race built motor, so that has alot to come into play also i think
