Anyone experienced leanness when running cutout prior to rear O2?

Just curious if anyone has experienced running slightly lean when running cutout prior to the rear o2?

I don't see why it would matter? The rear o2 does absolutely nothing other than tell the ECU whether the CAT is working or not. Doesn't affect drivability in the slightest.
